Anyway to permanantley dye my hair black?

my natural hair colors r dark blond, medium brown and dark brown...yes i got 3 natural hair colors but as a whole it looks more like light brown. 2 weeks ago i dyed my hair black and i can already see my natural colors coming thru...it actually looks pretty the way it is. its black-dark brown with a redish light brown kinda tint to it, and its really pretty when the sun/light hits it...anyway to leave it the way it is now without having it completely fade, and y is my hair dye fading so quick? i followed all the directions in the kit i got, i let the color sit in my hair for 30mins, than i put the color thru all my hair for another 10mins, than i rinsed out the color, than applied the conditioner, i let it sit for 5mins, than i rinsed it out, dried my hair and was done...i waited 2 days (about 50 hours) to shampoo my hair, and shampoo daily with a color treated safe shampoo, and 2 days ago i could already see my natural roots coming in...what do i do to keep my hair black?

okay first of all everyone loses hair in the shower...you should see what i lose its crazy...also since ur lighter by nature when u dye dark it might not take well and will fade fast...you should buy a shampoo that is for color preserving and try to only color ur hair once every 6 weeks..don't make my mistakes and come out looking a hot mess with burgundy violet black hair that looks like a should be a rock star...lol

the black will fade quicker on light hair. it happened with me and my friend, she had dark brown and me light brown and we dyed our hair together and mine faded within a month. but maybe it's the brand you used, i know some brands dont last as long as others, even if they're both permanent. to make the color last longer, use shampoo for colored hair, and if you have healthy hair you can keep the dye on for a little longer than it says and that should make the color deeper and tint your hair more. you just need to touch up a lot if your hair grows fast.

Since you have light natural hair, you need to dye them at least 7 times to achieve the total black effect.. Butr trust me, total black is ugly and looks fake, go see a professional hair stylist so it doesnt look fake. The box ones look fake..

To keep your hair black permanetly (sp?) dye it and when your roots start to show use a black semi.

To keep your color, don't overwash your hair and use shampoo/conditioner for color-treated hair. I like Pantene Midnight expressions. It doesn't fade my color.

If you use a shade of black that has "natural" or "neutral" in the name it will preserve the undertones that you have. A "blue" or "deep" black would probably cover them up. Also, some shades are closer to a coffee black (straight,no cream), which has a brown-ish base and not really black-black, if that makes sense.

I know it sounds kind of dumb, but for Halloween, my friend was a witch, and she took this spray on black hair dye, and quickly dyed it. Well now it's just starting to wear off and it's almost summer!

Good luck!

Peace, love, happiness, keep it real dawg,

Priss!!!
