You know what would be nice. It would probably look good if you got some anti frizz cream and touched up the ends to make it look sleeker and died it a dark burgundy color since you seem to have a lighter complexion. With your dark eyebrows it wouldn't matter and the color might give ya a little exciting spark plus look really nice!

Go for a rich auburn brown- you look like you have quite fair skin, so this will make you look more summery-black faded always gives a washed out look- try also a henna deep conditioning treatment-( you can usually get them at a supermarket/department store) if you still can't make up your mind. It'll help revive the old colour.

I閳ユ獡 a guy, and I used to have my hair parted in the middle, not too long, just down to my ears. I閳ユ獫e had a number one haircut all over for about two years now. I like it, I live in a very hot weather I like it. I also like it because it makes my hair look brown instead of blond. The only thing I don閳ユ獩 like is going to the barber once per week just to keep it short.

My sister閳ユ獨 wedding is coming up, and my dad told if I was going to go to the wedding with that hair. I told him YES, he said I should let it grow 閳ユoz I look like a thug.

I think it depends on your build and your style.... I personally think guys with longish hair (not too long!) look hot as long as they maintain it and don't let it go wild.

Alright, my natural hair color is blonde/dirty blond(ish) and I've been dying my hair black for about 2-3 years now. I'm actually getting a little tired of dying my hair so I've decided to quit and get back to my natural hair color. The thing is, I don't wanna high light my hair in order to get back to my natural hair color because I don't like the damage the chemicals can do. So, I'm thinking about getting a wig, that way I can hide my hair when half of my hair is black and the other half is blonde. It'll look really gross lol. So my question is, if someone told you that they're wearing a wig for the sole purpose of getting back to their natural hair color, would sound stupid to you? Or would it make sense? Because personally, I've never heard about people doing such a thing, so I'm trying to get opinions before I do it.

I went from brown to blonde, and let me tell you it reaks havoc on your hair!

When you dye your brown hair blonde it basically strips your hair of all protection. My hair is also curly, and I straighten it everyday, so I was basically killing my hair. It got really dry, and I had soooo many split ends. My hair actaully began to break. I dyed my hair back to light brown a month ago, and it is finally getting healthy again.

Don't get me wrong...being blonde was totally fun, but there are consequences. Basically it's up to how much you care about the health of your hair.

Your hairs gawjuz how it is!! Take into consideration that if you try and go from brown to blonde it can turn out a bit redish looking. So if you do slowly get lighter and lighter with the colour.

I think you're hair looks good the way it is. You did say you dye your hair a lot so your hair isn't in the best situation to be dyed a very strong color. Once you dye your hair blonde you can't really go back to brown because your hair will break, become dry, and start to fall out.

And don't listen to people who say blondes are much hotter. If you see most people are now dying their hair brown.

And if you go to the pool your hair will turn green from the chemicals and thats not something to be happy about.

The reason this happened is because color will not lighten color that you put on your hair previously. The color lightened the roots, but not the ends. The best thing to do is get a darker semi-permanent color that will match the ends and put it all over. This will match the roots to the ends and gradually fade off in time. This will allow you to be able to grow your hair out without having two different colors in your hair. Also, go to a salon and have the ends cut. Try to cut off as much as possible to get rid of the darker ends. If you can afford it, go to a salon that does Redken color and ask for Redken Shades EQ. This is a very moisturizing color that helps add shine to your hair. Using a stylist to do your color will ensure that your hair ends up an even color. Also, get a good deep conditioner like Redken AllSoft Heavy Cream. Use this once a week for a few months and your hair will feel like new!

It works very well. I have brown hair, and used to the red pulse for highlights, and it worked great. Just be sure to put all of it on your hair, don't wash your hair every single day or right after using it(it'll wash out quicker), and be sure to keep it in exactly the amount of time it says. Ask someone in the store who's useing it currently, because a friend told me one of the blonde ones was bad for a little while and turned people's hair orangeish. It happened my sister. So be careful about it. Other than that, it's great!

If you want to use color pulse, use a shade darker than your hair, but don't use the blond because it won't work.

Wigs are always good. You could poof it out into a little afro or something like that. Hair dye, lots of braids, maybe some rainbow extensions? Lots of barrettes, clips and maybe spraying little colored highlights? Stick some random things in your hair, like gum wrappers or pencils. Just a few ideas to throw out there.

First things first. Don't put things like little toys in them. Years ago in 5th grade we had crazy hair day and people came to school with stupid dinosaurs, legos and a bunch of other junk, hairsprayed together and colored disgustingly. You want to look good while still being crazy, so try putting the spray in/wash out color in your hair. Stripe it colors, or just color your hair a bright, neon like color. I would suggest sticking to color and only color.

Don't go crazy and try and mess with your hair style. You can go to walmart, walgreens, rite aid or any place like that and find good hair color stuff. Hottopic is awesome too. They have such great hair stuff. It cost about 3 or 4.00 a can btw. You and your friend should buy 1 or 2 cans each depending on what you want to do, just don't ruin your hair lol

Overcourse you can color your hair to a darker more nautral looking shade of blonde. I personally recommend exploring the revlon colorsilk blonde collection. It is a beautiful soft wearable Dark Blonde without the unwanted brassiness. Of course you don't want your hair to look fried, %26amp; those who suggested mega moisturizing were right, but your big worry is not picking up a discoloration from whatever product you apply next.

DO NOT use an "ash", "cool" or even "neutral" blonde as these all have green or violet as their base. On extremely porous hair (such as bleached), the lovely blonde pigment fades but the base color remains as a stain. It won't be cool looking violet purple, it will just look dingy.

If you must do this at home, get a blonde shade with a gold base. At least if/when your color fades, you won't be left with a completely unnatural looking tint.

You really need to use something called a filler before using your final color. I strongly suggest you go to a salon for a tint back, or at least ask your haircutter for advice. They could give you more explicit instructions %26amp; perhaps even some products to use.

Hi you can but give it a few wases first and use a deep conditioner as everytime my hair has ended up going white when I have put on a blonde dye it goes a funny colour, so its best to just leave it and try and get use to it before you attempt it. The only dye that you get a nice result with is a light brown it wont go on dark because your hair is white underneath.

My response is simple and to the point :)

One our skin has pigment in it, different colors of pigment for different people. The more sun that comes into contact with it allows it to produce more pigment, hence making it seem darker.

Our hair on the other hand has no pigment, its the color that is determined by genetics. When light comes into contact with the hair folicals it bleachs the hair, in a sense. The hair absorbs the light (no matter what color your hair is, darker absorbs more) and kind of "burns" out the color in it.

it's cooking you. the lighter the hair/skin,the faster it burns. hair has no feeling, so we don't notice when we have been in the sun long enough for our hair to start drying out. our skin does have feeling, so we get out of the sun when it gets too hot. that's why we tan a little at a time. as the skin dries and darkens, the cooking process slows down, and we can stay in the sun longer before it starts to hurt

Some of the hairs grow in light blond, almost as if white and others grow in light brown or darker. Any type of hair color will work, even if they have pictures of females on the box, lol. I'm naturally blonde but I dye my hair black because when I straighten it during the summer, it used to lose color and turn frizzy.

Personally, I think that the "Just for Men" line is a joke, not much more than a gimmick to lure people into buying their product. My father has used it on occasion with short lived results, you have to reapply every 2 weeks or so (regular hair color lasts 3-4 weeks).

There are a few other men color lines like MIN and Redken for men but there are semi perm and I don't think they work well for the beard. I think the just for men beard color is going to work the best for you unfortunately they don't have a wide verity of colors. You are not going to be able to lighten your dark hairs so you have to pick a color that is the same tone or dark than your natural hairs. I hope this helps some Sorry there just isn't alot for guys and beards. I guess it's not a big seller because your face hair grows so fast you would need to reapply weekly

Here are some ideas I can think of:

1. Wear it straight sometimes: Buy a good hair straightener (make sure it has gold plates)

2. After your shower, put mousse in it while it is wet and then twist your hair in pieces, do not scrunch. Air dry. that will give you those beach waves that are in now.

3. Tie it back into a loose bun. Take a small gathering of hair and wrap in around your bun to hide the hair tie.

Blonde hair takes longer for hair dye to come out of. Especially bleached blonde hair. It will take some time. I would recommend you to wait before you re bleach your hair.

You can go to any beauty supply store and get bleach powder and cream and it may say for proffesional use only but they sell it to the public. It's easy to use, I use it all the time and I'm on 14. Bleaching is generally told to do only by professionals.

i dont know how many hours to be outside for but its not a very good idea to put lemon juice in ur hair. i've had a few friends who have done that but it has turned out really badly. so if i were you, i wouldnt try it. if you really want to bleach ur hair, try going to a hairdresser. put lime juice in ur hair if you want to keep it from turning green from chlorine. but lemon juice also dries ur hair out and makes it fray.

The amount depends on how much hair you have so if you have short hair 1/4 - 1/2 cup should be fine. Longer hair will require more juice. You can put pure lemon juice on wet or dry hair and go out in the sun to dry it. Depending on how thick your hair is, probably 2 閳?3 hours. The heat from the sun will work with the lemon juice to lighten the hair. Make sure you comb the lemon juice through so you can an all-over look vs. just on the top layer of your hair. You can also get the same results by blow-drying your hair. You will probably have to do this a few times to see the results so just a word of warning, the fructose (acidity) in the lemon juice which helps your hair get lighter will also help your hair get dry and brittle, so you should invest in a good conditioner and use it when you wash out the lemon juice.

Hi, using a good moisturiser/lotion works, but you need to smooth the hair down in the direction it grows, and try not to rub your arms too much, the friction from clothes/sleeves etc makes them stick up more. I agree I would definitely go back and tell them you HATE that colour and to fix it. If you said blonde they should give you blonde. I hate those awful orange streaks they give brunettes all the time. I have pure BLONDE put in mine and I'm a brunette, the difference is she does it so thin and also puts in another reddy brown colour so that it ends up being 3 toned and not two....that is what makes it look good.

She should be able to use a toner or something on it to tone down the orange in it so go back to her and dont' let her charge you another penny. Tell her everyone is saying how awful it looks (even if that isn't so). She should care enough about her reputation to fix it.

I used to have really curly hair, now it is growing in straight. So I have this "fluffy" look for the lower 3/4 of my hair's length. Also I am blond, but it is turning darker (really ugly mousy brown!). My hair is about 5" past my shoulders.

Your question just caught my eye...As my hair gets longer it gets heavier causing my wavy hair to become straight ontop and wavy at bottom. This in return creates frizz with no control relief. I thought as being a blonde red did not work but you have green eyes go for it. The most amazing this to do is get your hair trimmed, especailly the wavy parts and go darker you will be amazed i was and it took me 25 years to dye my blonde hair dark brown. If you dont want to get rid of the length go for a chi iron i use mine on a daily basis and it is the best thing everfor the half waved hair like us.

When you dye blonde hair red, it fades really, really quick. Don't chop it off and wear extensions~ you're wasting money if you already have long hair to begin with. If you want to make it straight, use a straightening balm like Aveda Hang Straight and a flat iron (if needed). If you get a relaxer, it will dry it out.

If you want to make it curly, Aveda makes a product line for enhancing curl that I hear works pretty well.

Everytime I sit in the sun my hair gets blonder. Even if I subject it to any form of heat, it noticably changes colour. I don't want this to continue because it keeps turning a golden yellow shade which just does not suit my pale skin. I mean, it is waaay lighter than my natural blonde hair. Try buying a shampoo and conditioner for your shade of blonde hair. I'm guessing that you have like darker shade of blonde hair so try John Frieda Sheer Blonde for darker shades of blonde (honey to caramel) shampoo and conditioner (so it stays its natural color). Since you have the problem with the sun, use John Frieda Everlasting Blonde Total Color Protector on your hair after you get out of the shower and leave it in. It has special sunscreens in it to protect hair from UV rays.

Sounds like you have my hair! I have light brown hair with blonde highlights, and it's about the same length as yours. My bangs go down to my nose, it just give them an off-center part and put a light hairspray on them so they stay out of my face. For the body of my hair, I use a fat curling brush and blow dry the ends UP, it doesn't flip, it gives it a nice curl at the ends. I always get compliments on my hair. Try that out and see how you like it.

You would look great with LIGHT-medium brown since your skin tone is pale. You can add in blond streaks or highlights to your hair. Since you have bangs, why dont you cut them into side bangs. You hair length is perfect so dont fuss about it. You might wanna cut layers though.

I did the same thing that you did. I dyed my hair from platinum blonde to my natural color (a light brown). It all is almost faded now, and it isn't even my natural color anymore. It will most likely continue to fade until your hair is much lighter than the dye you chose, but never lighter than before you colored. you should go see a professional before you ruin your hair. "lifters" are also known as "strippers" they can really do a lot of damage to your hair. whatever you decide to do DON'T try to dye over the black, 'cause the black will stay but your roots will turn blond, you'll end up with a "skunk stripe".

I think you could probably go get it professionally bleached, because pro's have done that before and know how to do it the right way, I wouldnt suggest doing them yourself unless you want to get chucks of orange in your hair.

If you had you hair dyed with a premantly dye (black) it is what it say it is (premantly) Blond highlights will not return because the black took hold of the blond .In order for you to get the highlights back again, you will have to go through the same process that you did the first time (strip the dark color to get the light color) You will get the same effect as the first time.

My son (till yesterday) had beautiful blond hair down to his shoulders, slightly shorter at the front, to his ears, where we had been growing it out of a style, we have been growing it for about two years, it needed tidying up as it was shapeless and getting fluffy by his ears, where it had grown out of the last layers, so i took him to the hairdresser, we have moved over 100 miles away from the hairdress i always used to take him to so, i went to what i thought was the best in my new area, I asked the girl to take the lengh up to the shorter of the two layers (bottom of his ear) and what we got was a crew cut, to say i'm heart broken would be a understatement, and my son hates it and doesnt want to go to school!

Well I can see why you are upset - I was upset when I had to cut my son's hair! You could try to introduce more protein in his diet, and buy a boar brush and massage the scalp. It helps to stimulate the hair follicles. Also get him into taking vitamins. If he has never done so, it will help his whole body as well as grow out his hair.

I disagree with the guy on split ends above. You should trim your hair once every month or atleast every other month. I mean barely trim too. It will not remove length really if you just cut the split ends off and your hair will stay healthier and grow much faster. (Take it from a girl with hair that touches her pants.)

I think that you should dye your hair a darker color - it will make your eyes stand out more. Maybe a medium-dark brown would be nice. Or, if you don't want to go that drastic all at once, maybe start out by having "low-lights" put in your hair.... which are like hi-lights, only it is using darker colors.

Worst blonde moment ever happened years ago (I am not a blonde though). I had a rare mid week day off, so I had been shopping, paying bills, got a hair cut etc, came out of the shopping centre with a full trolley, and somebody stole my car.

I called up my wife and got her to come and pick me up (15 km round trip and she had to leave work early). While I was waiting I called the police but they weren't that interested. When she pulled up in my car I suddenly remembered that I had her car for the day so that I could get two new tyres for it....

Surprise surprise her car it was still parked about four spots up from where I looked for mine.

So one day i was hanging out with a bunch of guys and my best friend (for life, u know who u are) and one of the guys went to pretend to pour soda on me and i thought he was going to so i went to run away but since we were sitting on a bike rack my foot got stuck in the bike rack and i practically fell becasue it was stuck. Plus the guy who i liked was watching (but i'm a good blond because i just laugh at my blond mistakes!) One day at school i went to walk out of the bathroom with the same friend (in advance all my blond moments that im gonna mention happened with the same friend) and i looked down and i had toilot paper hanging from my foot... then another day at a subway i was walking from the bathroom and it felt as if my pant leg was dragging on the ground and i knew my pant leg didn't reach the ground so i looked down and i had toilot paper hanging from my foot... again. I've had alot more incidents w/ toilot paper!. umm i'll start laughing like 5 min. after a joke is told and i have a really weird laugh when im really actualy laughing, i start shaking and laughing but its silent so if u look at me laughing it just looks like i'm shaking so everybody thinks im jsut a freak. The other day i was geting out of my dads truck in the school parking lot and i fell right on my butt in front of everybody. And i am constantly getting my words mixedup. Plus i am constantly running into waterfountains and those polls in the center of doorways. One day i started a water fight in my T.A. with soem of my friends (it was the cooking room so i used those hoses on sinks) and i got my whole T.A. kicked out of the classroom for the rest of the year unless there is an adult in there. Ughhhh i cant think of any more but i'll book mark this and after i talk to my friend tonight i'll ask her and she'll tell me and then i'll right them down. But trust me there r lots more.

I bought a new SUV, a couple of weeks later I noticed the tires looking more worn than other cars on the road. The wear just became more worse over the next week, that I was starting to feel jibbed and I wasn't given new tires from the Auto maker. I went down to the showroom where I bought it and demanded to see the manager as my tires didn't look right, I was told to drive to the back and a mechanic will be out to inspect them. When I drove round and told the mechanic about the problem he nodded and headed to the back to have a look, 5 seconds later he comes to my window with a rag covered in dirt and tells me the tires needed a wash!!!

Feeling like an idiot, I just replied "sorry I'm blond" and sped of before the word got back to the showroom.

Another one was when I picked up my kids from school, like I said I had this new car...as we were all getting in I noticed the side bumpers (whatever their called) had gone, angry I blamed my kids saying that they must caused them to drop off because of the way then jump on them before getting in. Still mad we get in, all of us talking at once, I go and look inside the Rite Aid bag on the seat next to me, noticing a things I never bought but then knowing it must had been my husband...."why the heck will he buy this stuff, we don't drink that...blah blah", mean while my kids are making a racket in the back ...telling me that some other things weren't ours...Confused but still mad about my bumpers I just want to go home, as I'm struggling to get the car keys into ignition...a woman in the car next to me calmly asks if that's my car, as another woman just got out of there a few minutes ago.....looking round I'm only sat in the wrong car ......unbelievable!!!!

I went through the same thing you did, and guess what? I tried to more expensive brands and they faded out.

Even though they all said "permanent" hair dye, I could not get my hair to get back to dark brown. I then tried the cheap kind called Revlon color silk (it's about 2.99) in dark brown, it works great. I had to do it twice but it worked.

If I were you, I would have it done at a professional salon. The reason your hair is fading out is because the bleach will not hold pigment. You may have to keep getting it redone every 4-6 weeks until it grows out and the bleached part has been cut off. Also, if you use a special shampoo for color treated hair ( with pigment in it) your color will stay a little longer. A professional stylist can help show you what to do.

The best thing to do is go to a salon and get it done. I am a stylist and that's my recommendation. The reason it's fading and not giving you a vibrant color is because going from blonde to dark brown you want to use a fill color. It's a color you put on before you put your desired color on. It's the middle ground basically. If you are worried about cost of going to the salon look for your local beauty school. They do color for about half the price but still use professional color. When you call to make your appointment ask for a senior or more experienced stylist. Good luck to you.

Also if you want the "best" color line I would look for a salon or school that uses Redken. It is by far the best.

If your using a permanent color to achive a dark shade,it's most likey not going to take evenly and fade prematurely. Permanent color contains ammonia and isn't ideal for using as a filler. Since your blonde going darker "tint back" use a demi color instead. If your natural is about a level 4 or 5 use something that level and with warm tones. You need warmth to fill the blonde,weather you like red tones or not. If you do not use a warm color you will see a greenish tint to your hair. Juat remember ALL COLOR WIL FADE no matter what but each time you coat the hair with haircolor your filling in the hair and will last you a little bit longer each time

you could get it stripped but that's incredibly damaging to the hair

if you used a box dye(thats probably why it turned strawberry blonde) then it'll probably fade...

if it's a rinse(semi-permanent) most of the dye will wash out...so keep washing.

It sounds like your hair dye was a warm blonde shade rather than a cool or ash shade which was what you needed. I would either redye it was a cool shade of blonde or lighten your hair by putting in some lighter highlights either proffesionaly or from a box if you'd like.

You might have to wait awhile before you can do anything to it. It's not a good idea to redye your hair just after it has been dyed.

The best way to keep your hair blonde is get it professionaly done. Bleach is the only way to go. Even if you are a natural blonde you most likely have red pigments in your hair and bleach is the only color that can take that out.

This a problem with your hair tone. You have too much warmth in your hair (the red strawberry color). Go to Sally's Beauty supply and get something called Unred, its a tiny bottle of toner that will take all the unwanted warmth out of your hair and leave you with a more cool toned (icy) blonde.This won't damage your hair, it doesn't bleach it or strip it or anything like that, it simply neutralizes the red color, thus getting rid of it.

You're exactly right! Its a good idea not to try and correct it by colouring again as it will only make it harder to resolve. I've been in your situation before.

It all depends on (a) whether you have short, medium or long hair and (b)whether you can wait a few months for the colour to grow out, although the colour should fade naturally over an extended period due to everday shampooing etc.

My best bet is that if you totally hate it and simply can't live with it for another moment, to call your local hairdresser to see what options they can provide you. It may cost you a little bit of money and time but the outcome will be far more pleasing than if you try to DIY (colour correction or re-dyeing) at home which would make the situation worse.

Apart from visiting the hairdressers, expensive, you could try a toner or even a coloured mousse to tone the shade. Strawberry blonde is a red shade and to tone it you will need to use a colour on the other side of the colour-wheel a blue or green tone, sounds awful but green for example is light ash blonde and blue is a silver blonde tone. If you take my advice use a coloured mousse first as it will wash out on the 1st or 2nd shampoo.

But why not try a visit to the hairdresser who trims your hair, I'm sure they will give you good and free advice.
